It’s probably not proper dorm etiquette

Reading a book you find so funny you almost choke isn’t really appropriate at 1am in a 12 person dorm! I face planted my pillow but maybe need to rethink the bed time reading. Anyone who can make you laugh out loud through their writing is a genius.

Just went on a 15km tour around Singapore on scooters! And when I say scooters, I don’t mean the motorised ones! I mean the ones kids ride! Amazing.

I have a new blog about adventures in Thailand and Malaysia!

The Petronas Towers, KL, Malaysia. Rather than spend the money to go up them, I went to a skybar over the road for free ‘ladies night’ cocktails. I’d rather a view of the city INCLUDING the famous landmark! (And with a cocktail)

This has happened several times. We think we’re being asked to take the photo and then next thing we know, we’re in it! Two days ago was our biggest group yet, about ten Malaysian women surrounded us, were hugging us, posing with us, swapping around to take it in turns standing next to us. I guess it must be like that if you’re famous. I find it absolutely hilarious!

I love this film. Also this is what it feels like everyday walking through south east Asia. KL is particularly stare-y! It surprises me because there are so many tourists but I think my ginger hair, freckles and pale skin are particularly interesting. I’ve lost count of the amount of photos I’ve noticed myself being the unwitting star of!

It’s morning

It’s morning in Malaysia. I’ve been awake since 7:30. I’ve had too much coffee. I’m waiting for my friend to wake up so we can start the day. Tumblr is bearing the brunt of my restless, caffeine addled mind. Apologies.

My attempt at emulating the sentiments of that painting. I took a swan dive off the side of the boat and into Halong Bay/life! Otherwise I’d have been left stood on the rusty sidelines. Ha I’ll stop now.
